Rafael Ignacio Batlle

Rafael Ignacio Batlle, beloved son, brother and uncle, entered into eternal rest on October 17, 2023 at the age of 67. Rafael was born in Alegria, El Salvador on October 24, 1955. During his early years he attended Escuela 12 de October as well as San Francisco Melendez in El Salvador. He received his high school education from Liceo Centroamericano and finished one year of college at the National University of El Salvador before moving to the United States. Growing up in El Salvador, he enjoyed playing soccer and music with his friends. Once in the U.S., he lived in Chicago for a few years before moving to Louisiana. He was able to live a fulfilling and happy life and was loved by many. Determined, hardworking and strong willed, Rafael enjoyed meaningful conversation, cooking and spending time with his friends and family. During his formative years, he enjoyed traveling back home in El Salvador and spending time with his family, especially his nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Josefa Cristina Batlle, his father Jose Neto, his brothers Rene Modesto Batlle and Jose Maria Batlle. He is survived by his sisters Miriam Salanic and Ana Ruth Batlle, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70062. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Rafael Ignacio Batlle amado hijo, hermano, y tío, fue llamado a casa el 17 de octubre, 2023 a los 67 años. Rafael nació en Alegría, El Salvador en octubre 24, 1955. En su niñez, atendió a la Escuela 12 de octubre y también San Francisco Menéndez en El Salvador. En 1977, se graduó con su bachillerato en Matemáticas de Nuevo Liceo Centroamericano. Termino un año de estudios en la Universidad de El Salvador antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos. En su juventud en El Salvador, disfrutaba de jugar fútbol y tocar música con sus amigos. Ya estando en los Estados Unidos, vivió en Chicago por unos años antes de mudarse para Luisiana. Consiguió vivir una vida plena y feliz y era amado por muchas personas. Rafael disfrutaba de conversaciones de diversos temas, cocinar y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. En sus años posteriores, disfrutaba de viajar a su tierra natal de El Salvador visitando su familia especialmente sus sobrinos. Es procedido en la muerta por su madre, Josefa Cristina Batlle; su padre, José Nieto; sus hermanos Rene Modesto Batlle y José María Batlle. Le sobreviven sus hermanas Miriam Mercedes Salanic y Ana Ruth Batlle; igual como una serie de sobrinos. Su familia y amigos son invitados a asistir el velorio y servicio fúnebre el sábado 4 de noviembre de 2023 en L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner.
