Nancy Patron Campeaux

Nancy Patron Campeaux was called home to her Heavenly Father on June 9, 2024. Her loving husband was with her during her final hours. Nancy was the beloved wife and best friend for over 60 years of Barry G. Campeaux. Her family has been her joy throughout her life. She leaves four daughters and four sons-in-law to celebrate her memory: Charlene and David Boss, Dallas, Texas; Cherie and Patrick Robinson, Prairieville, LA; Cindy and Leo Segalla, Baton Rouge, LA; and Connie and Blair Davis, Hammond, LA. Her life and example will always be cherished by her 12 grandchildren who were the light of her life. She loved each of them unconditionally: Matthew and Lindsey Boss; Tim (Keely) Robinson, Katie (Frankie) Lechuga, Rebecca (Parker) Johnson; Mark (Shelby), Jessica, Brittany, and Kyle Segalla; Megan, Lauren (Blaine Jacob), and Austin Davis. She also adored her four great grandchildren: McVea and Campbell Robinson; Parker and Luca Lechuga. Nancy was the daughter of the late Catherine and Ray Patron. She was a native of Atlanta, GA, a resident of River Ridge for 50 years and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA for the last 19 years. Nancy attended Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, Our Lady of Holy Cross College and The Catechetical Institute of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Nancy retired as the Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, Metairie, LA. She was a Catechetical leader in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for over 40 years. She also served at St. Lawrence the Martyr, St. Matthew the Apostle, and St. Bonaventure Catholic Churches and Schools. As a consultant for William H. Sadlier Publishing Co. for 35 years, Nancy assisted in the training of Catechists throughout the Southeast. Nancy ministered as the Co-Coordinator of RCIA and the Director of Kids’ Catholic Kingdom at St. Albert Catholic Chapel in Hammond. She has also served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist for over 40 years. She was the recipient of the Saint Louis Award in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for her outstanding service to the Catholic Church. Visitation will be held in the Parish Hall of St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Rd. Hammond, LA on Thursday, June 13th from 5:30 – 8:30pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 14th at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until Mass. Interment will be at St. Margaret Cemetery. Deacons of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the Diocese of Baton Rouge, Religious Educators, Parishioners of Our Lady of Divine Providence Parish, Metairie, St. Albert the Great Catholic Chapel, Hammond, St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church, Albany, friends and family members are invited to attend these services. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the many caregivers who were so attentive to Nancy, especially Ryan Rivers and Holly Castillo.
