Judith “Judy” “Mia” Prange Bourgeois October 13, 1952 - November 28, 2025 The Lord called Judy “Mia” Bourgeois, 73, of Kenner, LA home on Friday November 28th 2025. She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her beloved son Brennan Bourgeois, grandson Campbell Perry Hebert, and her parents, Leo and June Prange. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Don R. Bourgeois, who stood faithfully by her side in every season of life. She is the adored mother of Don Ray Bourgeois II (Kellie), Kyle Bourgeois, and Donielle Bourgeois Hebert (Rebecca). Cherished “Mia” to Kylie Bourgeois, Brock Bourgeois, Brady Bourgeois, Kyle Bourgeois Jr., Brennan M. Bourgeois, Bennett Hebert, and Morgan Hebert. Sister of Leslie Parnell (Mel), and Leo Prange III (Cindy). Sister-in-law to Salvador Puleo. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, always making each one feel uniquely cherished. Judy was the steady heartbeat of her family. She ran the family business with dedication and precision, always keeping everything in perfect order. Her strength, reliability, and work ethic were the foundation that kept everything running smoothly in both her work and home life. Judy was a woman whose love was poured out on us through the countless ways that she showed up for us. She was a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering selflessness. She loved big and always placed her family at the center of her world. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought warmth, and her heart brought light to everyone blessed to know her. Her cooking was more than food- it was her language of love. Of all the roles she held in life, being a mother and grandmother was the one she cherished most deeply. “Mia” was not simply a title to her, but a calling. She poured her heart into nurturing her grandchildren, finding joy in the smallest moments: cheering at ball games, or baking cookies and desserts for them. Her love was patient and boundless, expressed in the way she listened, encouraged, and believed in each of her children and grandchildren. It was in this role that her spirit shone brightest, and it is in this role that her legacy will continue to live on. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation and Celebration of Life Service at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd. on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
