Anna Grace Mary Gauthier Firmin With sadness and love, the family of Anna Grace Mary Gauthier Firmin, announces her passing on Thursday March 30, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born April 29, 1941, in Mansura, LA, and was a long-time resident of Metairie, LA. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She married the love of her life in 1958, and they were married for 43 years. There was never a person she did not like. She would give her last penny to help anyone in need. Her passion in life was camping with her husband, family, and friends, cooking, sewing, and trying new foods, but her greatest love was for her family. Anna was strong willed and stubborn but those traits definitely defined who she was as an individual. She had a courageous battle with chronic medical issues but she was a strong fighter. We know that she is free of pain and with the people she loves. She graduated from Warren Easton High School and continued her career in accounting and worked at Tack Amusement, St. Anthony Community Care Center and Whitney Bank. Anna was also a long-time parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Alcide Firmin; a granddaughter, Mary Firmin; her parents, Lillie Mary Aymond and Claude Joseph Gauthier; a brother-in-law, Darrell Dauzat; three sisters-in-law, Julia Firmin Dauzat, Mary Desselle Gauthier and Wadine Firmin Gautreaux; and a nephew Robert Gauthier. Survivors include her son Ronald Firmin (Debra) of Harahan; her daughter, Tammy Firmin Voisine (Shawn) of Metairie; her son, Shane Firmin (Rhonda Labit) of Norco; four grandchildren, Nicole Lambert, Hayle Fernandez (Ian Caulfield), Samuel Fernandez (Lucy Ponce) and Renee Vicknair (Bradley); and ten great grandchildren, Brianna Becnel, Ava Vicknair, Coralynn Vicknair, Brynn Caulfield, Dustin Lambert, Lilyann Lambert, Adrianna Fernandez, Tyler Richoux, Bronson Vicknair, and Britton Vicknair; a brother, Ellis Gauthier; two nephews, John Gauthier (Godchild) and Steven Gauthier; a niece, June Baxter (George); a great nephew, Kevin LeBlanc; her Godchild, Robert Dauzat; and many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Visitation from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., The Reverend Charles Dussouy presiding, followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
