Amelia Rose Hindman

Amelia Rose Hindman passed away comfortably in the arms of her parents on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the age of 6. She was born in Kenner, LA and a resident of Luling, LA. Beloved daughter of Brittany Stevens and Matthew Hindman. Granddaughter of Lynda Stevens (Gigi), PJ Stevens (Paw Paw), Susan Hindman (Nana), and Deen Hindman (Grumpy). Survived by her Nanny, Kaylah Stevens, her Parrany, Timmy Hindman, Aunt Andria Hindman, Uncle Pete Hindman, and her Great Grandfather, Donald Romano (Pawpaw Don). She is also survived by her furry companions, Fabian, Jughead Jones, and Archie. As well as a host of a Great Uncles, Great Aunts, cousins, and friends whom she loved deeply. Amelia was diagnosed on June 20, 2024 (at the age of 4) with DIPG, an extremely aggressive and rare brain cancer, located in the brainstem, which made it in-operable and untreatable. Despite the prognosis being 9 months, Amelia courageously fought long and hard for 20.5 months and never let her diagnosis discourage or define her. Amelia loved doing all the things a normal child loves to do, especially her morning schnugs with mommy, family date days, going to the "real" movies (always with her extra buttered popcorn), and riding in the front row of rollercoasters, "hands up, whole time." Amelia loved firefighters! So much so, that her 5th birthday party was fire fighter themed and she was sworn in by Fire Chief Barry Minnich as an honorary Luling Firefighter. Amelia loved everything and everyone and touched so many hearts in her short time with us. Amelia was always so encouraging and knew everyone was perfect in their own way. Amelia will be missed deeply, and while she may be gone, she will forever live on in our hearts and her love will forever shine bright. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Mass at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70062 on Friday, March 20th, 2026. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM. Burial to take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St. Rose L.A.
