Steven Gerard Landry passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 54 from complications due to ALS. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Rose. Beloved husband of Rita Ritchey Landry. Father of Katie E. Landry-Guyton (John), Katie B. LaCoste (Paul) and Ashly S. Patterson. Grandfather of Skylar I. Rains, Helaina M. LaCoste, Connor S. LaCoste and Wyatt A. LaCoste. Father-in-law of Chad S. LaCoste. Son of Joan Daigle Landry and Harry L. Landry. Brother of Mark D. Landry (Roberta). Grandson of the late Eva M. and Raoul E. Landry and Josie G. and George W. Daigle. Steve had the pleasure of working with the New Orleans Saints for nearly 20 years and had the honor in participating in Super Bowl XLIV for which he received his Super Bowl ring. He retired from Southwest Airlines after 32 years of dedicated service and was a parishioner and usher of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Kenner. Team Landry would like to thank all of our family and friends for all of the love, prayers and support throughout Steve’s ALS journey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:15 p.m. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
