Mark Anthony Cambre Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mark Cambre April 10, 1972- June 12, 2021 Mark Anthony Cambre, a veteran who proudly served in the Persian Gulf War passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the age of 49. He was a native of Metairie, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. He attended Destrehan High School before enlisting in the US Army National Guard. Mark later graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. Mark was a Medical Lab Specialist E5 with the 159th Mash Unit of the United States Army National Guard in New Orleans, LA. He worked as a Biological Science Technician for the United States Department of Agriculture in New Orleans. He also spent time volunteering for the VA Hospital and other areas in his community. When not working, Mark loved the arts, music, painting, dancing, fishing, walks around the city and frequenting coffee shops. He had many friends throughout his life and his memory will live on for years to come. Beloved son of Digna Emerita Montes Cambre and James Harris Cambre, Jr. Brother of Jason David Cambre (Sandra) and Sharon Lynn Cambre Sorey (Steve). Uncle of Katelyn Elizabeth Sorey, Andrew Lex Sorey and Rachel Lynn Sorey. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to honor Mark’s life and military service by attending the Visitation and Funeral Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11316 River Road ,St. Rose, LA 70087.
