    Mae Margaret Galioto Rosson Webb

    October 23, 1932 - January 28, 2022

    Mae Margaret Galioto Rosson Webb has gone to her eternal rest on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born October 23, 1932 in New Orleans to Peter and Rosie Schiro Galioto. She was married to the late Wyatt M. Rosson, Jr. by first marriage and the late John Henry Webb, Jr. by second marriage. She was the mother of Wyatt III, Peter, Leslie (Donna) and Eric Rosson. The grandmother of Edie Rosson-Pagan (Alan), Danny (Annie), Joshua, Taylor (Chase) and Jennifer Rosson. She was the sister of the late Mary Ann Ciravolo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mae Margaret was a life long member of St. John the Baptist Church (Dryades St.) and graduate of its elementary school. She served as an assistant to the church wedding coordinator. She was rewarded with SJB Parish St. Louis Medal for her devotion. A proud graduate of St. Mary Dominican High School. Her devotion to Dominican High School was rewarded with the Sister Mary Angela Service Award in 2006. A graduate registered nurse of New Orleans Charity Hospital. She was actively a practicing RN until the age of 83. She worked in many hospital areas, but her true love was Emergency Nursing for over 25 years. She was co-founder of the Greater New Orleans Emergency Nurse Association (ENA). She later became the founder of the Louisiana Council of ENA and was the president for many years. It was slow growing, but was a very strong voice for the Emergency Nurses. Mae Margaret has received many awards from ENA- locally, state and national. She received a National Lifetime Award in 2005, a State Lifetime Award in 2008, an Annual Mae Webb Excellence in Emergency Nursing, which was annually awarded to a state emergency nurse. She was also honored as a Great 100 Nurse in 2005. She has served as the president of the St. Lucy Society at St. John the Baptist Church and coordinates its annual St. Lucy Mass in December. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Mass at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Saturday, February 5, 2021. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Private Burial. In her memory, masses or donations to Dominican High School Scholarships preferred.
