Jonathan Ryan Pizzuto passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at the age of 38. He was a victim of a senseless violent crime. He was born and raised in Old Jefferson. He was a resident of Metairie, LA. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Michelle Davis (Shedrick) and Luke Pizzuto. Stepmom Janet Downs Pizzuto. Sisters, LaToya Ducoing, Jasmine Bennett, Gabrielle Pizzuto, and Kaitlin Bennett. Grandfather Leslie Ducoing, Nephews and Nieces Darnell, Kai`leaf, Lenard, Desiré, Elijah, Daveah, Naveah, and Nolan. Aunts and Uncles, Elizabeth “Beth” Brelet (Perry), Godfather, Mark Pizzuto (Stacy Zachary), Danny Pizzuto, Tammy Scarengos, David Wilbert, godmother, Kelly Wilbert, Lesa Kelley (Joe), and Lesley Ducoing (Yaisel). He was godfather of Grace Davidson, King, Cortney, and Corrianna Dufrene. He is also survived by his cousins David (Aimee), Shelby, and Steven Wilbert, Kevin (Alyson), Joshua and Austin Scarengos, Grace Davidson (Phillip), Ellis and Scott Ducoing, Alex, Evan, Logan, and Jacob Pizzuto, Bridget and Brad Brelet. His beloved dog, Dro. As well as a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Brittany LaBranche, his grandparents, Norma “Jeannie” Ducoing, Floyd and Jennie Pizzuto, and nieces, Nehemiah and Covonni. Jonathan was born to his parents, who loved and adored him. He was a bonus child to his stepmom. Jonathan was a devoted brother of his sisters. He was “My boy” by his grandparents. He was their pride and joy. He was an adoring and loving uncle. Jonathan attended St. Agnes School. He graduated from St. Christopher and Archbishop Rummel High School. Jonathan was from a very large Italian family, and he was proud of his heritage. He would invite the neighborhood friends to Thursday night spaghetti dinners. He was very close to his sisters, nieces, and nephews. Jonathan would have his nieces and nephews as well as his godchildren come and spend the weekend. He would enjoy their visits and having them come to New Orleans. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and was involved with several fantasy football leagues. He enjoyed hanging with his childhood friends from the neighborhood, Cortney, Bobby, Will, Joey, James, David, Steven, and Shelby along with friends/coworkers Kingsley and Ryan. Jonathan was perfectly content spending his time away from work at his home playing video games and hanging with friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make anyone laugh. He was an amusing, kind, caring and warmhearted person. He had a way of entertaining all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
