    James "Jimbo" Heming

    March 7, 1933 - February 28, 2022

James "Jimbo" Heming, age 88 March 07, 1933 - February 28, 2022 Jim was born on March 7, 1933 in Cumberland, Maryland. He was the eldest of 5 children born to Joseph R. Heming and Anna Marie Donohue of Bedford, PA. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna Marie Heming, brothers, Kenny Heming and Robert Heming, and sister, Mildred Moore. He is survived by his brother, Ronald (Melda) Heming, sister-in-law, Jeanette Heming and brother-in-law, Paul B. Moore. Jim is survived by his loving wife of almost 46 years, Cheryl (Steen) Heming, along with 5 children, Bruce (Kathleen) Heming, Robin (Marcela) Heming, Tammy (Norman) Bowers, and stepchildren, Sonny Sanchez and Lisa (Mark) Tortorich. Jim is also survived by 6 beautiful grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah) Heming, Ryan (Jessica) Heming, Randall (Lisa) Bowers, Barrett Bowers, Beau (Lindsay) Bowers, and Jacob Bowers, plus 14 great grandchildren. Jim worked in the Bindery Industry for over 40 years, beginning with the W.A. Krueger Company and owning his own Bindery Business for the last ten years. He was an avid fisherman, and owned a beautiful fishing boat, until a few years ago. Jim loved working on home projects, sometimes with more than one project at a time! He loved playing music on his organ and listening to classical and organ music. Jim also had a great circle of friends at the Oschner Fitness Center. They referred to themselves as "The Breakfast Club!" Jim was a hard-working man and a great provider. He was a very fair individual, with a love of teaching his children and grandchildren how to work hard and stand up for themselves and others. He will be truly missed for his love of life and friendship and loyalty to others. Fair seas ahead, Jimbo, we will take it from here! Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Friday, March 4, 2022. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Jim's honor.
