    Gloria Jean Kidd Ludwick

    February 25, 1938 - November 27, 2021

Gloria Jean Kidd Ludwick passed away peacefully in the arms of her family on November 27, 2021 at the age of 84. She was a native of Galveston, TX and a resident of Harahan, LA. Gloria attended Ball High School in Galveston, TX where she was a cheerleader and was voted most popular in the class of 1954. Gloria retired from 3-D Office Supply in Houston, TX in 1997. After being a homemaker for 25 years she went on to be the head purchasing agent at Waterford Three in Taft, LA. Gloria had many things that she loved, her number one was her fur baby was her pal for over 14 years, Delta Dawn and other fur baby Dallas. Gloria was an advocate for animals. She picked up many strays and vetted them. She loved being with her family, shopping (as the tags are still on her clothes), reading a good book and walking the beach with her sons. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Eiffert; sons, Raphael W. Ludwick (long time partner, Tracey Goyen) and Michael W. Ludwick; grandchildren, Raphael Eiffert, Madeline and Luke Ludwick, Joshua Ludwick, Steven Ludwick and Michael Ludwick; brothers, Kenneth Kidd and Murray Kidd; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Teri Hunt; granddaughter, Ashley Eiffert; grandson, Brandon Eiffert; parents, Murray Quincy Kidd and Beatrice Kidd; sister, Elisha Kidd; and brother, Ernest Lee Kidd. Gloria fought an agonizing fight with Alzheimer’s and Cancer. Her strength and agility to hop over the hospital bed was amazing. Our mother, our role model and our friend. Her strength survived logic. We love you, we miss you and will never forget the mother who was a role model to us and just a good ‘mother’ in general. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.muhleisen.com
