Gary Wayne Decker, of Destrehan, LA, beloved husband of Agnes DeCrescenzo Decker, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the age of 62. Gary, son of Ruth and the late Louis F. Decker, was born in Chicago, IL, on June 5, 1954, and grew up in Orlando, FL. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Agnes, and children, Renae Ann Marie, Allan (Melissa), Joseph (Misty), Regina (Donald), Patricia (Russell), and his cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Micah and Zane; Jacob and Zachary; Alexandra, Victoria, Olivia and Joseph; Ariana, and Domenic. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Ann) and Dennis (Candy), and sisters, Janice (Dave) and Gail, and many nieces and nephews. Gary is predeceased by his brother, Allan G. Decker. Gary graduated from Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, FL. He worked in the family waste management business before embarking on and realizing his life-long dream of owning and operating his own refuse business with brother Dennis, Bay Area Disposal, Bacliff, TX. After which, he became the sole proprietor of Best Waste & Recycling in Rolling Fork, MS. Gary will be remembered for his strong faith in God, family values, quick wit, kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, generosity, and love of life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Boulevard, Kenner on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. and on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Charles United Methodist Church, 1905 Ormond Blvd., Destrehan from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St. Rose.
