Eugene Joseph Bergeron

March 16, 1937 - January 10, 2022

Eugene Joseph Bergeron passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 84. He was a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Gene was preceded in death by his parents Viles J. & Phyllis Lecompte Bergeron and sister Carolyn Graham. Beloved husband of Priscilla Legendre Bergeron. Loving father of Randy Bergeron (Gwen), Beryl Kippers-Meilleur (Michael), Trudy Schiro (Ted, deceased) and Stacey Bergeron (Errol). Grandfather of Jeremy Bergeron (Morgan), Crystal Schuermann (Ed), Zachary, Cherie, Jaime and Jonee Bergeron, Heather Bonstaff (Tim), Josh (Lauri) and Jessica Meilleur, Teddy and Jimmy Schiro (Jen), Jason Lawson, Sammy Jr., Brian and Ashley Naquin, Cody (Katrina), Billy and Eric (Amber) Lacoste. Great grandfather of Brendyn and Dylan Bergeron, Madeleine Scheuermann, Alexia Bonstaff, Jake and Ryker Schiro, Makayla Mcgalliard, Allayah, Riley, Cody Jr., Baylee, Braxson and Axel Lacoste. Brother of Ricky Bergeron (Maureen). Also survived by Robbie, Brent and Becky Graham, sister-in-laws Mercedes Trosclair (Wayne), Cheryl Adams and numerous nieces and nephews. Gene spent his whole career in the oilfield industry and was a regional manager for Sooner Pipe & Supply. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, was a member of The American Legion and lifetime member of VFW Post 3267. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone he knew. He will be sadly missed by all. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1908 Short St., Kenner, LA 70062. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass. Interment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2, 6124 W. Main St. (LA 24) Houma, LA 70360 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by L. A.
