Dolores M. Nadau du Treil

Dolores M. Nadau du Treil was born on June 7, 1930 and passed away on February 2, 2022 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents: Louis Edward Nadau du Treil and Cecile Montz Nadau du Treil, and her brother: Edward Francis “Dukie” Nadau du Treil (Maria Alicia). She is survived by her nephews and niece: Robert Nadau du Treil, Claude Nadau du Treil, and Bernadette A. Nadau du Treil Cherrez (Xavier). She is also survived by great nephews and nieces: Joseph M. “Joey” Nadau du Treil, Nicholas X. Cherrez, Christian I. Cherrez, Vivienne M. Cherrez, and Lilian A. Cherrez. Dolores was a graduate of Dominican High School and was employed for 40 years as a medical assistant to Dr. Edward Garland Walls. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother for 17 years following her father’s death. Dolores was very knowledgeable about medical care and helped many people with her knowledge. She was a devoted Catholic and well respected by all her colleagues and friends. She would always help someone in need and loved to talk to you on the phone. She was an avid reader and loved to share her books. Dolores will be sadly missed and was dearly loved by all her cousins and family members. She leaves behind many cherished memories. Dolores will also be missed by her many friends at Metairie Manor where she enjoyed her retirement years. The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff at Metairie Health Care and Lakeside Hospice for caring for her in her final days. Relatives and friends invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003 on Friday, February 11, 2022.
