Cheryl Bergeron Pitfield passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 63. She was a native of Tylertown, MS and a resident of Metairie, LA. Cheryl was best known for her kind heart, fun spirit, and never ending love for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was being a MiMi to her grandchildren. She devoted the last 7 years in educating on the diseases, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), which tragically took the life of her late daughter. Beloved wife of James “Mike” Pitfield for over 43 years. Loving mother of Chad Michael Pitfield (Nina) and the late Kaitlyn Denese Pitfield. MiMi of Connor and Carly Pitfield and the late Ava Grace Pitfield. Preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Arthur Bergeron and Pauline Graves Rahm. Sister of Shelia Delaup (Mark), Craig Rahm (Michelle), Greg Bergeron, Tim Bergeron (Patty), Richard Harrison (Sherri) and Dennis Bergeron. Sister-in-law of David and Debbie Pitfield, Howard and Barbara Pitfield, Wayne and Becky Pitfield, Oliver and Mona Pitfield, Dotty and the late James Treadaway, Martha and Larry Walston, the late Lea and Lester Andrews, and the late Patricia and Vincent Henry. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors at East Jefferson General Hospital, as well as Cheryl’s doctors that provided her with the best care available. Relatives, friends, and current or retired employees of Exxon Mobil and Mobil Oil are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Friday, February 11, 2022. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service.
