Charles Joseph Durel, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 80. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Beth” Lester Durel. Loving father of Cherie Durel Faucheux (Brian), Charles Joseph “Charlie” Durel, Jr. (Donna), Rachel Michelle Hery (Warren) and Christopher Michael Durel (Chrissy). Grandfather of Bridget Faucheux Joslyn (Ben), Cody Lee Faucheux (Laura), Charles Joseph “Chase” Durel, III, Colin Michael Hery (Victoria), Ethan Sean Durel, Emma Elizabeth Hery and Ella Lynn Durel. Great grandfather of Ava Elizabeth Joslyn and Drew Elizabeth Faucheux. Son of the late Aline Veron Durel and Oliver Louis Durel, Jr. Brother of Aline Mary Durel, Arthur Thomas Durel (Patricia), John Michael Durel and the late Oliver Louis Durel, III and Ronald Francis Durel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
