Rose Amadeo Raziano

Rose Amadeo Raziano, "Mama Rose", 69, of Kenner, passed peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2023 to the sounds of Oldies But Goodies music with her hand being held. She put up a very brave and courageous fight against Lung Cancer. Rose was born to her late parents Mary Haar and Peter Amadeo, on July 6, 1953 in New Orleans. She graduated from Grace King High School. She was married to the late retired Kenner Fire Captain Gregory "Raz" Raziano for 38 years. Cherished mother of her two children Jake G. Raziano and Jamie Raziano Ortiz (Michael). Beloved Mimi to her boys Mason, Aiden, Alex and Lucas. Sister to Joseph, Ann Marie, and Peter and best friend of over 40 years to Elvis loving Connie Patterson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Some of her favorite things were smiley faces, butterflies and angels but she loved her family the most. She never stopped worrying about them. Even as adult children she always wanted her kids to call her when they got home or before they went to bed so she knew they were ok. Rose had a heart of gold and selflessly put everyone else first. Her smile and spirit could light up a room and get a party started. For most of her life Rose worked in the entertainment and hotel industry. She had so much fun in her career and really enjoyed her customers who easily became her friends. She met people from all walks of life from all around the world. She retired from the Treasure Chest Casino in 2019 although they thought she was just going on vacation for a few days. She was always one to do things her way which she did up until the very end quickly earning her the nickname No No Ro Ro. Some of her favorite sayings were "Yes Indeed","Oh Well", and "Hey My Baby". She will be missed beyond words. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rose loved all things color so to honor her wearing something colorful is encouraged. Arrangements by L. A.
