Patricia M. Cox

Patricia M. Cox, 84 of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born March 17, 1938, in New Orleans, LA she was the daughter of the late Alma Lane Beavers and Benjamin Louis Marchand, Sr. Patricia “Patsy” was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Mark Cox Jr. Her brother and sisters are Gayle Parker, Debbie Coleman, Benjamin L. Marchand Jr., Kenny Marchand, and Linda Scott. Patsy is survived by her 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with 2 more to arrive in 2023. Theresa Kieffer and husband Joey: grandson Jonathan Sigler: great grandchildren Daylin Sigler, Johnny Sonnier, McKinlee Sigler. Judy Cox Crampton: grandson Jason Hebert and wife Joi: great grandchildren Elijah and Mykaila Hebert: granddaughter Jessica Aguilar and husband Miguel: great grandchild Ellie Mae Aguilar; granddaughter Jerrica Pruitt and husband Tyson: great grandchildren Brylee Tyson and Benton Tyson. Ralph Mark Cox III and wife Regina: grandson Nicholas Cox and wife Shelby and Peyton Cox. Karen Kieffer: grandson Michael Kieffer and wife Chantel: great grandchildren Lucy and Micah Kieffer. Rodney Cox and wife Patricia: grandson Matthew Cox and wife Ashley: great grandchild Khloe Cox; grandson Mark Cox: granddaughter Michelle Starnes and husband Kaleb: great grandchildren Benjamin and Emery Starnes. Patsy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, snacking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a successful daycare “Pat Pat” for many many years. She was a member of the “Red Hatters Club”, “Single Again Club” and “Golden Ages Club”. She loved all the holidays and loved to dress up and pass out candy on Halloween to the children. She LOVED the Casino and all parades. Late in life she enjoyed and found happiness in coloring pictures and giving them to everyone who asked for them. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner.
