Marjorie Stoute Templet

Marjorie Stoute Templet was called home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, on March 16, 2021 at the age of 95. A native of St. Landry Parish and a resident of Metairie for 69 years. Marjorie, unselfishly loved and raised seven children. She loved visiting family and traveling to places she never dreamed she would ever see. Marjorie and Robert were vendors in numerous craft shows with their ceramics, yard signs and wooden toys. Marjorie also enjoyed bingo, football, playing dominoes, cards and casinos. A founding member of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church and supporter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association on behalf of her late husband Robert. Beloved wife to the love of her life, the late Robert Paul Templet of 67 years. Mother of Robert A. Templet (Linda), Deborah T. Abate (Sam), Carl A. Templet (Margaret), Dorothy T. Kattengell (Donald), Daniel M. Templet (Ann), Patricia T. Cochran (Kelly) and the late Ronald Paul Templet. Also survived by sisters in law, Zelmire Stoute, Vivian T. Chauvin, Lorraine T. Irion, Sally Templet, and brother in law Floyd Moran. Daughter of the late Azelma Doucet Stoute and Andre Stoute. Marjorie was the sole survivor of her 11 siblings. Sister of the late Theresa S. Connick, Cedelise S. Sonnier, August Stoute, Noel S. Roy, A. Lionel Stoute, Odile Culotta, Pierre Stoute, Lee Roy Stoute, Georgie S. Wilson, Regina S. Moran, and Nolan Stoute. Grandmother of Brandi A. Hernandez, Angela A. Fay (Brent), Shaun Templet (Shawn V.), Joshua Templet (Beth), Travis Templet (Ellis), Jason Templet (Sarah), Justin Templet, Jared Kattengell (Megan), Mitchell Kattengell, Ashley T. Rome (Brian), Heather C. Guillot (Logan), Nicholas Cochran. Marjorie has 8 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Visitation at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, LA.
