Leonard Lee Barbaro Sr.

Leonard Lee Barbaro, Sr. entered into his eternal home through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the age of 77. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Patricia "Darnell" Cooper Barbaro for 56 years. He was a loving father to Tiffany Locascio (Larry), Leanna Barca (Jeff), Jennifer Dorner (Danny), and Leonard Barbaro, II (Sherri). Father-in-law to the late Gus Carcabasis (Laurie). A proud Paw Paw to his 15 Grandchildren , Chad Locascio (Jen), Antonio Locascio (Kaylee), Stephen Locascio (Sarah), Nicholas Locascio (Victoria), Sommer Locascio (Colby), Bradley Locascio, Joshua Carcabasis (Josh), April Carcabasis (Sean), Chase Carcabasis, Daniel Dorner, Jr. (fiancée, Rosanna), Brandon Dorner (fiancée, Brielle), Hannah Dorner, Christian Dorner, Ethan Dorner and Scottie Waguespack. A loving Paw Paw to his 14 Great Grandchildren, Mia, Connor, Adam, Amelia, Nathaniel, Bentley, Hallie, Kasen, Laramie Lynn, Kayla, Landon, Sophia, Ava, and McKenna. Son of the late Anna Mae Gambino Barbaro and Vincent James Barbaro, Sr. Brother of Antoinette "Peanut" Faulstick (Al), Sarah Marvel (Dave), Vicki Marengo (Claude) and the late Vincent "Pete" Barbaro, Jr. (Peggy). Step-brother of the late Germaine Williams (Bill). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a dedicated employee of Shell Oil Company for 26 years before his retirement in 1992. Lenny was always the life of the party, where he brought joy and laughter into any room he entered, he was always joking and had a smile on his face. He loved traveling to many places with his lovely wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. His family and friends were very blessed to have him in their lives for so many years, and will miss him tremendously. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to East Jefferson General Hospital for their loving care and to his Cardiologist Dr. Luis Soto for 27 years, Dr. Juan Lastra his former Cardiologist who was his physician and friend since 1989, and Pastors' Charlie and Dianne Waghorne with Glory to Glory Life Ministries. A service celebrating the Life of Lenny will be held at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Monday, December 19, 2022 Beginning with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Danny Dorner. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11316 River RD.,St. Rose, LA.
