Kathleen "Kathie" Reisinger Candilora

Kathleen "Kathie" Reisinger Candilora, age 76, of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 at the age of 76. She was born in Allentown, PA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Kathie attended Alcee Fortier High School, where she served as a class officer and cheerleader. It was there she met her beloved husband of 54 years, Charles "Charlie" Candilora. Together, they graduated with the proud Class of 1968. Kathie worked for the Jefferson Parish School System, before eventually retiring from United Healthcare. Kathie dedicated countless hours where she served as a cheer and softball coach at Delta Playground, a Girl Scout troop leader, worked for the Jefferson Parish Department of Parks and Recreation (JPRD), and was a member of the OLDP School Board and Parent's Club and the Green Park Elementary PTO, leading her to create a warm home that became a neighborhood gathering place. Kathie was a parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church. Known for her sharp wit and vibrant personality, Kathie possessed an unwavering passion for sports, famously cheering on her favorite teams, LSU and the Saints, and frequenting her favorite local spots, The 70123 in Harahan and Reginelli's in Kenner. She loved nothing more than sharing laughs with her husband, family, and friends. Above all else, Kathie’s greatest joy was her family. She fiercely treasured her three daughters and four grandsons, finding her absolute happiest moments and creating countless memories. Beloved wife of Charles W. Candilora. Loving mother of Jennifer Kathleen (John Jr.), Jessica Marie (Ryan), and Jamie Elizabeth. Adored grandmother of Reece Candilora (Nicole), Brady Brehm, Aiden Guarino, and Blake Brehm. She is the daughter of the late Thelma Gauthreaux Reisinger and John W. Reisinger; sister of Karen Reisinger Broussard (the late Bruce) and the late Joan Reisinger Tramuta (the late Charles "Bubby"); and dear friend and cousin of Gerry Caruso. Kathie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Kathie's beautifully lived life at her services on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA.
