David Robert Coyle

David Robert Coyle of Kenner, LA passed away on April, 17, 2014 at the age of 56. Dave was born to Robert and JoAnn Coyle in Charlotte, NC on August 19, 1957. Later the family moved from North Carolina to Garvin, Minnesota where Dave was raised with nine brothers and sisters. He graduated from Tracy Jr-Sr High School, attended college in Iowa and later began a successful career in construction that took him across the Midwest, Colorado and then finally to New Orleans. Dave was an accomplished athlete in high school; earning athlete of the year as a senior and awarded the most valuable wrestler his last three years of high school. Upon graduation from high school Dave served in the Minnesota Army National Guard earning the rank of E4 Infantry Specialist. Dave’s career evolved around the construction industry, he began as a carpenter and steel worker, and later worked as an electrician on projects ranging from timber frame houses to commercial work of all sorts. Dave has always been an outdoorsman , he enjoyed many elk hunts in Colorado, antelope hunts in Wyoming and deer hunts in Lousiana. Dave’s longtime companion is Pam Corville, they were together for fourteen years, Pam and Dave meet in New Orleans and have lived in Kenner and St Rose. Pam has one daughter Tracey living in Reserve. Dave has two children from a previous marriage with Cynthia (Schmitz); daughter Crystal and son David. There are six grand-children; Hunter, Devin, Bill, Loghan, Lilly and Anna Dave has five sisters and was the second of five boys born to Robert and JoAnn Coyle. Dave was preceded in death by both parents and an older brother Bill. The brothers in the family are Bill (wife Jayne), Ronald (wife Wendy), James (wife Terri) and Michael (wife Amy). The sisters are Tamora (husband Ray), Sandy (husband Fran), Ronda (husband Roy), Dawn (husband Bob) and Kim (husband Dan). There are twenty nieces and nephews as well as eighteen great nieces and nephews. Dave has always been a man of generosity, family and friends were important to him and it didn’t matter when or where he was ready to help put in a window or move a garage. No doubt a man of character. He will be missed by us all and remembered often as we think of family and the quiet times we once shared together. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dave will be interred at the Tracy Cemetery in Tracy, Minnesota.
